Chelsea to move for Lucas Digne?

Ben Chilwell's situation has given Chelsea alot to think about, if he is back in January, do you not sign someone incase he is not as good as before? Do you not sign anyone and hope he is fine? Do you sign someone and try and offload the underperforming, high waged Marcos Alonso?

Me ( CFCPYS ) and Laurenz Vescoli recently interviewed The Athletic's Liam Twomey to find out what Chelsea's plans might be for the January / summer Window, here are some takeaways :

Digne - Dont rule anything out, Chelsea HAVE done this type of deal before where they have previously liked a player and then it comes back that he is now more cheaper further down the line, Chelsea pride themselves on being good opportunists, alot tho depends on Chilwell, Everton would be willing to sell however they do not have a good relationship with Chelsea.

Rice - Not much going on, under contract still, wont push a Transfer request, WHU unlikely to lower the valuation, Tuchel likes him however very difficult to do.

Tchouameni - On Chelsea's scout list.

Kounde - Chelsea watch him still, Kounde was upset he didn't move last summer to London and Chelsea are unlikely to abandon this one especially with Rudi / AC contracts not been signed, Sevilla will sell him on their terms tho and more likely in the summer of 2022 when they have more opportunity to build the squad up again and find replacements.
