Saul, a massive talking point if you would make it one, he came on loan during the summer and many Chelsea fans were excited at the prospect of seeing him in the blues midfield.

Saul was understood to be signed on loan initially for depth, however he’s had a nightmare period at Chelsea so far, with Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus Cheek emerging to put Saul 6th or 7th choice in the pecking order at Chelsea.

Matt Law states today that as it stands, Chelsea aren’t giving up on Saul and the player himself has no plans to return to Spain, he goes as far as to say “ he feels at home at Chelsea “ because of Kepa, Alonso and Azpi.

Saul will work intensively with Tuchel and the coaches to get up to speed ahead of Chelsea’s game with Leicester.
